Mindful Yoga: This Mindful Hatha Yoga class is suitable for beginners and those who have practiced Yoga before, as Yoga teaching will be adjusted to suit individual ability and health. Working in a relaxed atmosphere, it involves a range of physical yoga postures and sequences, breath-work, deep relaxation and meditation, developing awareness, strength and flexibility in the body, as well as focus and concentration in the mind.
Mindful Meditation: This Meditation class is suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to meditate (including absolute beginners), as well as those who want to deepen their practice in Mindfulness Meditation. Working in a supportive atmosphere, it explores mindful meditation from a non-religious, Western standpoint and aims to develop, step by step, a personal meditation practice suited to each individual.
About your teacher: Sally has been teaching in schools and universities for over 25 years. She has been practicing Yoga and Meditation since 1995 and qualified as a Yoga Teacher with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2005. She also has a Diploma in Children’s Yoga with RYE (Research in Yoga Education) and studied Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) with Satyananda Yoga. She regularly attends courses, workshops and retreats to develop her personal practise and her teaching skills. She is currently studying an MSc. in Mindfulness with the University of Aberdeen.
What it costs: Yoga £6, Meditation £4, both classes £9 Payment is on a per term basis,
newcomers can pay for the first session on the door.
What to bring: Warm, comfortable
clothing, a blanket or large towel for deep relaxation & meditation. Bring a yoga
mat & blocks (for yoga) if you have them, or borrow one of ours to begin with. Click
