See details below & contact info
online & In-Person weekly classes
First Class begins – W/B Mon 25 April 2022
Half-Term Break – W/B Mon 27 June 2022 – No classes ALL this week!
Last Class Ends – Wed 27 July 2022
What does it cost to trial a class?
Yoga £10, Meditation £6 cash on the door or online payment to try a session. Subsequent classes are payable on a per-term basis and work out a little cheaper for more than one session per week. As classes are progressive & the benefits of practising are cumulative, there are no drop-in classes, although it’s worth making contact if you have special circumstances.
What do I need to trial a class?
Wear loose fitting comfortable clothing in layers. There is no dress code! Bring a yoga mat and blanket/large towel or ask Sally to lend you one. You currently need a mask. Sally can recommend sources for well priced, good quality equipment. People start to arrive around 10 min before the start of in-person classes and it’s best to get there at least 10 min early for your first session.
What equipment will I need if I sign up?
For Yoga: A yoga mat, specified yoga blocks (1 whole & 2 half blocks) & a blanket is a good idea. Advice is available for purchasing wisely.
For Meditation: Chairs are available but for floor sitting/ lying, a meditation cushion/yoga block & yoga/camping-type mat and blanket will be needed.
How do I get there?
Blackwell First School, St Catherine’s Rd, Blackwell, B60 1BN www.blackwellfirstschool.com/tour
From the village shop on Linthurst Newtown Blackwell, turn into St Catherine’s Rd at the cross roads and the school is on your right half way up. Please park on the road outside the school, avoiding the yellow zig-zag markings. Enter via the school gates, up the steps on the left and into the foyer and then the school hall. Please do not park in the school staff car park on the opposite side of the road as this will be locked before we finish our class.
The Ark, School Lane, Alvechurch, Nr Redditch, B48 7SB www.thearkalvechurch.co.uk
The website above provides details on how to get there, but please be aware that School Lane is a one-way system, so if you can check the route ahead of time (actually or on Google Maps), it’s a good idea. It’s best to approach School Lane from Bear Hill and turn left on the first bend, towards St Laurence church, following signs for THE ARK. You will then see the entrance gates to the Church, so drive through the gates and THE ARK is the modern glass building down the drive on your left. There is ample free parking. From the entrance hall, turn left into the Main Hall.
