Get ready for Spring after the busyness of the festive period. Relax, re-engage and re-energise with some gently challenging, yet powerful Yoga. Explore yoga movement/ poses & breath to deepen awareness, allow the body to release tension, become lighter and more fluid. Practise simple meditation and relaxation techniques to settle the mind and allow a sense of calm and tranquillity emerge. Come and join us in Bromsgrove, for an inspiring weekend of yoga with Bill Wood, exploring his enquiring ‘Scaravelli-influenced’ approach. It’s an invitation to discover a more natural and easeful way of working with our bodies. A way of unwinding more fully and freely into yoga practices using less strain or force. Students are encouraged to work in a sensitive and relaxed way while always challenging themselves to explore their practice more deeply. The weekend is suitable for students and teachers new to this way of working, as well as those wanting to practise and further develop their skills.

Day Workshop with John Stirk

We will be hosting a day of Yoga with John Stirk, who has been teaching Yoga and body-mind movement for over 40 years. His Yoga teaching has been influenced by B.S.K. Iyengar, Krisnamurti and Vanda Scaravelli with whom he had personal tuition for several years. His work aims to deepen, open and broaden the Yoga experince by inviting students to sink beneath existing knowledge and practical application and draw out for themselves their deeper practitioner. John’s posture-based work, attends to the physical whilst simultaneously questioning the nature of conditioning, habit and fear in all its guises. Participants are invited to open up ways of being that include clarity, relaxed sensitivity, and deep flowing awareness of how they are on all levels.

This workshop is suitable for students and teachers new to this way of working and those wanting to further develop their skill.

SUMMER SESSIONs IN AUGUST 2019

Times: Daytime Sessions 12.45 – 2.30pm & Evening Sessions 7 – 8.45pm. * ASK about a shorter Meditation/ Deep Relaxation ONLY session.

Cost:  £13 per session, cash on the door.

Various evening and afternoon sessions for Sally’s regular students and for newcomers by request. Classes are all 1 hour 45 min long and include gently challenging Yoga, Meditation and a Deep Relaxation. The Sessions are suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced practitioners. Individual needs and injuries are catered for with modified poses and progressions are available for those with more experience.

Day Workshop with Caroline Reid

Come and explore Scaravelli-inspired yoga with Caroline, who has been teaching this approach since 2002. Caroline works slowly and carefully, finding clarity in yoga movement and bringing about a deepening release of tension. She works flexibly, offering lots of personal attention and encouragement along with hands-on help to draw your awareness to areas of tension, forcing or straining and help you find ways of dissolving that. This workshop is suitable for all bodies, including those with limitations or injuries and open students who are new to this way of working as well as those who are already practicing.
